the red apple

According to my research on Sioux Indian writer Zitkala-Sa, red apples represent the forbidden fruit and also broken promises.

There is a red apple hanging in front of my eyes: it is telling me to run away from my computer and not to finish my paper. I have 2 1/4 pages, and I need about 6 more. I want to bite the apple and put it under my pillow as I sleep.

But then my pillow would get sticky.

I often put sticky apples under my pillow. I find it helps me sleep better.

Lately I've been randomly napping at 7pm, waking up in the middle of the night and either working on my screenplay, or watching random movies. Two nights ago I watched "Nell"(1994?starring Jodi Foster, Liam Nieson). I was totally convinced Jodi foster was a woman with weird speech patterns living in backwoods North Carolina, or wherever that was. Anyway, This is my second to last internship day, my screenplay is due tomorrow, and the folklies at my internship are nice enough to let me work on my screenplay all day. Isn't that nice? And the other intern here showed me pictures of his little girl, Sophia. I don't like children, but this little girl is ver cute.

stern granny! I am out!

I watched Nell in high school psych....I, too, was convinced. And I love Liam Neeson.

I finished my paper! It's terrible, it really is, but at least it's handed in, and I almost don't care. Of course I do care, but right now I'm just glad to be finished with it. I rolled into bed at 5:40 this morning . . . and rolled out at 8:07 . . . and now I'm about to roll back in. Sweet dreams to all.

that's altogether too much rolling.
